Fall is here, bringing a variety of exciting events and activities. September 2024 is packed with events such as Detroit Lions Pride Plaze, Detroit Jazz Festival, Michigan Renaissance Festival, Tour de Troit at Riverside Park in Detroit, Arts & Apples Festival at Rochester Municipal Park, and Story Festival at Ford House. There are also great activities for kids. Don’t forget to check out local job fairs too! These events and activities are sure to keep you busy, but we’ve also provided some helpful articles on parenting, divorce, and finances. Detroit Lions Pride Plaza in Detroit

The family-friendly event offers photo opportunities, a 40-yard dash, food trucks, music, beverage tents and more.

Detroit Jazz Festival

Listen to the greats and upcoming Jazz artists at the ultimate Jazz show happening at different locations in Detroit.

 

Michigan Renaissance Festival

Fair maids and merry men take a step back to the 16th century for jousting tournaments, comedy and theater shows, music, games and “real” mythological creatures. Each weekend is themed so check on it before you head out.

Tour de Troit at Riverside Park in Detroit

There’s a 25.6-mile main ride for newbies and a 62-mile ride for more experienced riders. Both take riders through Detroit’s historic neighborhoods. The ride includes a souvenir T-shirt, food and beverages, and a riding bib. Registration required. Kids are welcome, but they encourage experienced cyclers. 

Arts & Apples Festival

Experience the artwork of over 200 talented artists, a variety of food trucks, live entertainment, art demonstrations, a children’s area and more.
