Spring is here in Michigan, bringing with it a range of exciting events and activities. May 2024 is packed with events like the Motor City Comic Con, Adulting 101, Thomas the Tank at Greenfield Village, Walk a Mom at Stony Creek, and Hightail to Ale. There are also some great activities for kids. Don’t forget to check out local job fairs too! These events and activities are sure to keep you busy, but we’ve also provided some helpful articles on parenting, divorce, and finances. Motor City Comic Con

Cosplay your favorite comic characters, meet-and-greet with graphic novel big wigs, check out movie screenings, character Q&As and more.

Walk-A-Mom at Stony Creek Metropark

Families can enjoy a spring hike on the trails with mom and grandmother and take time with the wildflowers that are starting to bloom. Choose the nature trail of your choice to enjoy and be sure to stop by the nature center to get a certificate, and all moms and grandmother receive a flower to plant a home.

 

Day Out With Thomas at Greenfield Village in Dearborn

Families can take a ride with their favorite storybook friend, Thomas the Train. There will be live music, bubbles, lawn games, photo opportunities, storytelling and more. Advanced registration recommended.

Hightail to Ale

Run one or run all three! Hightail to Ale is the first stop in The Thirsty 3 Series, our not-so-serious running and walking tour of some of Michigan’s finest beer, wine and cider properties!
