The answer to this question is a resounding “NO!”
In family law matters, there are two sides to the case, with each party having a position that is the opposite of the other. Thus, when parties are in conflict, one attorney cannot possibly respond to their opposing needs. Attempting to represent both parties not only violates the rules of professional conduct, it is a clear indicator of poor judgment and ignorance of the rules by the so-called professional.
