Greetings! Welcome to March 2024. As we begin a new year, we encourage you to explore new experiences. Whether you prefer to venture outdoors or enjoy cozy indoor activities, there are numerous opportunities to engage in novel activities in our vicinity. We at DAWN are committed to supporting you in prioritizing self-care and relishing in the various recreational options that our area has to offer.
Winter is here in Michigan, bringing with it a range of exciting events and activities. March 2024 is packed with events like the Rochester Easter Egg Hunt, St. Patrick’s Day Parade, Scavenger Hunt and the Library, Livonia 100 Days to Health, and a Half Marathon in Grosse Ile. There are also some great activities for kids. Don’t forget to check out local job fairs too! These events and activities are sure to keep you busy, but we’ve also provided some helpful articles on parenting, divorce, and finances. Let’s embrace the winter season with style, fun, and a month to remember.

Easter Egg Hunt at Rochester Municipal Park
Check out RARA’s 9th Annual Easter Egg Hunt! Bring a camera so your child can get a photo with the Easter Bunny, play games and hunt for eggs during this annual event. Dress for the weather.
St. Patrick’s Parade in Corktown, Detroit
The D welcomes back this annual, which comes with a procession filled with leprechauns, shamrock floats and other Irish swag.
Scavenger Hunt at Jefferson Branch in Detroit
Come out to Jefferson Branch for a scavenger hunt for Women’s History Month. Win prizes, too. RSVP required.
Health, Shopping, Fitness – Time For You
100 Days to Health
The Healthy Livonia 100 Days to Health is back in one month! Registration is open for the 100-day event. There will be two educational seminars and a lot of free giveaways at the Feb. 25 kickoff event!
Rock CF Rivers Half Marathon
The half marathon course features a fast, scenic lap around the island with a jaunt on the Grosse Ile Airport runway/hangar. Your choice of half marathon or 5k run/walk!
