Michigan Wills & Living Wills
A will is a document used to dispose of an individual’s property owned in that person’s sole name at the time of their death according to their wishes. It also appoints a fiduciary to carry out the directions under the will according to the probate laws of the state where death occurs.
A living will in Michigan is used to document the declarant’s position of whether to authorize or refuse medical treatment when that person is terminally ill and/or unable to make and express such decisions on their own.
