Summer has arrived in Michigan, bringing a variety of exciting events and activities. August 2024 is packed with events such as Dinosauria and the Detroit Zoo, Woodward Dream Cruise, Michigan Renaissance Festival, Arts Beats and Eats, and a Kayaking Workshop. There are also great activities for kids. Don’t forget to check out local job fairs too! Dinosauria at the Detroit Zoo

The zoo brings you an immersive walk-through experience that will take you back in time to the prehistoric era. Here, you will see 34 life-like animatronic dinosaurs, including a towering, 65-foot-long Brachiosaurus! There will also be a new, T-Rex photo opp this year.

Woodward Dream Cruise

This annual procession of classic and vintage cars makes its way down Woodward Avenue through Birmingham Berkley, Bloomfield Township, Ferndale, Pontiac and Royal Oak. Check with your city to learn about specifics.

Michigan Renaissance Festival

Fair maids and merry men take a step back to the 16th century for jousting tournaments, comedy and theater shows, music, games and “real” mythological creatures. Each weekend is themed so check on it before you head out.
