Welcome to June 2023! Summer is here! Let’s get this June 2023 started off right. We have found some indoor and outdoor activities suitable for everyone. DAWN is here to support you in taking time for you each month and enjoying all that our area has to offer.
Spring events, activities and fun has returned to Michigan! This May features events like the Canton Liberty Fest, the Color Vibe 5k, Concerts, Fairs, and Blippie, not to mention fun stuff for the kids. Not to mention in these tough times there are still job fairs to participate in! These fun, exciting June 2023 events and activities for you or the kids will help keep you occupied, but we’ve also provided some helpful articles on parenting, divorce and finances. Let’s kick this Summer off right and make June 2023 a month to remember.

Canton Liberty Fest at Heritage Park in Canton
This annual is filled with live performances, a carnival, food, games, music, fireworks and more.
Event cost: Free/admission, fees/ride wristbands
Color Vibe 5K at Lake St. Clair Metro Park
Families can participate in a 5K Color Run/Walk taking place at Lake St. Clair Metro Park. A portion of the proceeds will also be donated back to a local charity. Registration required.
Music in the Air Concert Series at Kellogg Park in Plymouth
See live outdoor musical performances on the Hines Park Lincoln Stage in Kellogg Park throughout the summer. You can drop off your chairs and blankets at 3:30 p.m. on concert days.
Health, Shopping, Fitness – Time For You
Detroit VegFest
Detroit VegFest – The state’s largest plant-based event returns to Eastern Market for a second year with nearly 100 vendors, including popular plant-based restaurants, specialty food items, and Eco-friendly shopping. Additionally, attendees can enjoy cooking demonstrations, speakers, free plant-based food samples, and fun for the kids.
Art on the Grand in Downtown Farmington
Fine artists and crafters from around the country are featured and have booths in a variety of disciplines and price ranges. Different artistic categories include: painting, pottery, photography, jewelry, mixed media, wood, wearable art, glass, leather, sculpture and more.
